Pinterest is one of the latest tools and platforms
that allows registered users to ‘pin’ things online, just like they’re on the
real life bulletin board in the social networking website and mobile
application. It is a virtual inspiration board, a bookmarking tool which helps
a person to discover and save creative ideas in the social media world. Users
are allowed to search for photographs and videos which are based on the discovery
and curation of other people’s content, not only the story of their own.
At the
same time, Pinterest has been grown rapidly, leading to limitations of
successful cases. There is an issue rises among their users about Pinterest
skirts copyright laws surging in popularity, they have more responsibility to
ensure that the copyright contents doesn’t show up on its site. They even get a
lot of feedback from users and media owners, complaining their vague attitudes
towards copyright issues due to their current privacy policy is not crystal
clear when comes to sharing information. Pinterest should take this seriously
and come up with a stringent policy so as to gain users’ reliance by agreeing
the terms.
